Falling into STEAM… Full STEAM Ahead

Again I am so blessed to have the privilege to work at James Kennedy Elementary School in Langley, British Columbia.  We have an amazing crew of staff and wonderful community that steps into creating innovative learning for kids.  So here is what we’ve been up too!

From teacher workshops to students delving into critical thinking with robots to using ‘codeable’ art to create a masterpiece!   This must be the most exciting time ever to be an educator and a student in the British Columbian 21st Century classroom…

  1. Wonderful resource material. I am also passionate about bringing innovations into science learning for young people in Nigeria, a developing country. How do I get these materials as grants or with some form of waivers as we are in a resource limited setting?
I am planning a STEM week to bringing together over 500 students across schools in Ekiti and Ondo States, Nigeria for the event.
Its a vision which though Im still wondering how to get learning materials for demonstrations, simulations, group works, discussions and exhibitions I am very optimistic that it is possible.

    Thanks.

That is so exciting what you are doing. We apply for grants through local organizations and those associated with our school district. I don’t know any international grants but if I ever come across any I will email you. I wish you all the best in your pursuits.
